Tasting a Corte Donda Mixed Fruit Mustard means enjoying all fruit flavors, skilfully enhanced by mustard.


Hand cut mixed fruit, candied and preserved in a transparent syrup, dense and sweet, flavored with mustard essential oil.


It is important to know that before consuming it you should open the glass jar pour the content into a bowl and leave it "to breathe" for at least half an hour.


FOOD PAIRINGS RECOMMENDATIONS

Don't serve your mixed boiled meats without it.


INGREDIENTS:

Mixed fruit in variable proportion 65% (cherries, figs, clementines, oranges, pumpkin, apricot, cedar), sugar, glucose, acidity corrector E330, food dyes: E124, E133, mustard essential oil.

May contain traces of sulfur dioxide.

We are at Viadana, halfway between Mantua and Parma.

A restored 1700's farmhouse with four hectares of land where, in addition to vineyards and farm animals, there are orchards and vegetable gardens.

Most of the fruits and vegetables that end up in mustards are cultivated here.


Claudio Rizzi produces according to Viadana tradition, respecting all the steps of candying: hot sugar syrup over layers of fresh fruit cut in slices or cubes for three days, caramelization of the fruit in a casserole and mustard essence adding.

Fruit and vegetable mustards pair well with cheeses, with mixed boiled meats and with "his highness" the Culatello cold cut, besides being one of the protagonists of the Mantua pumpkin tortelli (fresh hand-made pasta).
